Description
Lontong Cap Go Meh, the festive Peranakan dish of rice cake soup to celebrate the end of Chinese New Year celebratory period in Java, Indonesia. Rice cake wrapped in banana leaves served together with Yellow Chicken Curry, Chayote Squash Curry, Shrimp Stew, Soy-braised Eggs, Ground Roasted Soybean, Ground Roasted Dried Shrimp, Prawn Crackers and Red Chili Paste. The dishes are arranged on a dining table lined with crumpled table cloth. Zodia leaves, sweet basil leaves and Chinese gold ingots are used as table decoration.
